Telenet Upgrades to Acision's Next Generation Messaging Platform
Acision (News - Alert), a global messaging company, will be upgrading the Telenet voicemail platform to match the structural design of its messaging system. The upgraded platform is expected to carry Converged Messaging and Voice Mail applications for Telenet's full MVNO mobile platform and lessen its overall spending in providing voicemail solutions.
The sophisticated new messaging platform of Telenet has a single structural design offering a variety of loaded solutions. The new platform combined with Acision solutions will enable Telenet to offer most sought offer services such as Business Voice, Unified Messaging, VoiceSMS, VoiceMMS, Visual Voicemail and Voice to Text and achieve faster growth.
Acision will facilitate Telenet with regular updates on voicemail software and hardware platform, implementation and maintenance. Acision will solely maintain the facility for Telenet.
Peter Michiels, senior vice president, Network & Service Engineering of Telenet, said that for years, Acision's voicemail has serviced the needs of the company’s fixed-line telephony customers.
“Now, Acision's next generation platform will enable us to provide additional benefits to our ever growing mobile subscriber base,” Michiels said. “The advanced voice messaging functionality will enable our customers to communicate in new ways and increase our service stickiness.”
Telenet is a leading broadband cable services provider from Belgium offering cable television, high-speed Internet and telephony services to clients in Flanders and Brussels. Additionally, the company provides telecom solutions to commercial establishments in Luxembourg and Belgium.
Acision is a global messaging company, offering telecom solutions to more than 300 network operators and service providers across 135 countries around the world.
Tony Morrish, SVP and GM, Europe and Russia of Acision said that the deployment of Acision Voice Messaging Platform at Telenet is not only endorsement of the strength of our voicemail offering but also marks the continuation of an already solid relationship between the two companies.
“The flexibility of our platform means it can be scaled to meet the needs of service providers of all sizes and can be expanded to meet subscriber growth at minimal cost,” Morrish said.
A recent analysis on telecom industry indicated that more than 77 percent of the telecom revenue is generated by voice services and the trend will continue in the coming years. Wireless operators all over the world are adopting various methods to enhance the average revenue per user. The advanced messaging solution provided by Acision is designed to allow the operators to achieve total call completion cycle, thus increasing quantity of chargeable calls and revenue.
