New End-to-End IP Video Assurance Solution From EXFO
EXFO (News - Alert) Electro-Optical Engineering plans to launch the company’s latest end-to-end solution for IP video service assurance called BrixVision. BrixVision will incorporate quite a few innovative capabilities which will make it highly suited for telecom operatorstelcos, cable multiservice operators and broadcast video providers.
According to company officials, EXFO has evolved a solution that is genuinely end-to-end; it supports service assurance from installation to monitoring and continuing troubleshooting. And, the company is offering an innovative service assurance solution which stretches across the last mile to the client site even without the need of expensive truck rolls.
Vivian Hudson, vice president and general manager of EXFO Service Assurance said that the company is in a unique position to provide a fully integrated solution that other vendors simply can't match.
“With this distinctive consolidation of capabilities, operators are now able to lower their capital expenditures and streamline network operations, thereby reducing operational expenditures as well,” Hudson added.
BrixVision transcends the conventional task of plain live monitoring of the video network. This one-of-a-kind solution incorporates triple play features which enables it to deliver an open service assurance environment that has been created on a common platform for voice, video and data networks. With these services, providers enhance their operational productivity and cut down on operational expenditures on one unified platform.
The latest offering also allows providers to combine all their monitoring systems into one cost-efficient and multiservice assurance platform. By taking advantage of its open architecture, providers can smoothly transition to BrixVision using a vast variety of third party provisioning, fault management and troubleshooting systems. This helps to perform better on parameters like operational efficiency, quality standards and overall performance and also constantly reinforces the overall efficacy of an IPTV (News - Alert) service.
A feature that sets apart the BrixVision is that it props up over-the-top (OTT) IP video service assurance. This innovative capability helps service providers to track the availability and quality of their video services over their content delivery network (CDN). It also enables service providers to ensure that their IP video services transmitter over the internet using the same dependable tools which are used to track their own private networks.
Using BrixVision operators can improve and optimize their quality of experience to intuitively determine and resolve potential disruptions before they affect service quality. As a result, they can enjoy enhanced customer satisfaction, lower churn, reduced monitoring and maintenance costs rendering a vital competitive edge.
