These days, unified communications is taking a front seat in enterprises’ business strategy, helping organizations of all types improve their interaction, drive efficiencies and boost productivity. And the use of the technology is no more apparent than on the range of electronic devices, such as smartphones and WiFi-enabled gadgets.

 

But officials from one unified communications security outfit said there are certain security steps companies need to take to ensure their organizations can be truly functional with the devices, such as keeping communications private and controlled and complying with regulatory mandates and industry best practices.
