Teliris Earns 'Positive' Rating from Gartner
Telepresence (News - Alert) provider Teliris received a “positive” rating in Gartner’s recent MarketScope for Video Telepresence Systems report.
In the June report, which assessed seven telepresence providers with at least 50 multi-screen systems installed, New York City-based Teliris (News - Alert) received the highest rating awarded to a telepresence provider.
The Gartner (News - Alert) MarketScope evaluated the telepresence vendors on a variety of criteria including customer experience, market responsiveness, track record, products and services, according to authors Robert Mason and Scott Morrison.
Gartner’s MarketScope is an evaluation of a marketplace at and for a specific time period. It depicts Gartner’s analysis of how certain vendors measure against criteria for that marketplace.
Teliris also recently announced its 6G platform, which allows the telepresence experience to be delivered over general purpose networks. The standards-based client-server software solution delivers an agile solution to reduce network costs and extend the reach of telepresence.
“The Gartner 2009 telepresence MarketScope report validates our belief that Teliris is the innovation leader in the telepresence market which is not surprising since we have been offering enterprise class solutions for over a decade, far longer than our competitors,” said Teliris CEO and co-founder Marc Trachtenberg (News - Alert). “Our deep experience and sole focus on telepresence has led to the development and introduction of the Teliris sixth-generation platform, which provides the most agile and cost-effective telepresence experience available anywhere. Gartner has clearly recognized the importance of Teliris 6G in extending telepresence from the boardroom to the desktop while enabling telepresence availability in hard-to-reach geographies around the world.”
Earlier this month, TMCnet reported Teliris entered into a strategic partnership with AVI Systems, a provider of integrated audiovisual systems in the Midwest, to allow for wider implementation of the so-called “most natural telepresence meeting environment available on the market today.”
Teliris offers a suite of telepresence products ranging from sub-$8,000 desktop solutions to boardroom systems. All Teliris solutions offer interoperability options that allow for connection to any system, anywhere and an end-to-end managed service with a so-called “99-plus percent” reliability guarantee.
The company has deployments in over 50 nations with the largest installed base of Global 2000 companies, including Unilever, British American Tobacco, Lazard, Pearson plc, GlaxoSmithKline, and Royal Bank of Scotland, Xchanging and Merck, among others.
